Overview

Quality & Assurance Manager - Children\'s Residential Services

Location: West Midlands

Salary: circa £60,000 per annum + benefits

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Lead on all aspects of quality, compliance, and service improvement across a portfolio of children\'s homes.
  • Conduct internal audits, mock inspections, and support homes to achieve and maintain \"Good\" and \"Outstanding\" Ofsted ratings.
  • Work collaboratively with Registered Managers and senior leaders to develop and implement quality improvement plans.
  • Monitor safeguarding, incidents, and key performance data, ensuring lessons learned are embedded across services.
  • Deliver training, coaching, and guidance to promote consistent compliance with Children\'s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted expectations.
  • Act as the organisation\'s champion for continuous improvement and best practice in residential childcare.
About You
  • Proven experience in children\'s residential care, ideally as a Registered Manager, Responsible Individual, or Quality Lead.
  • In-depth understanding of Ofsted frameworks, Regulation 44/45 processes, and the Children\'s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
  • Strong ability to combine strategic oversight with a hands-on approach to supporting services.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Hold (or be working towards) a relevant qualification such as the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
