Our Client, Bolton Council, is seeking a Children’s Assistant Team Manager to join their Fostering Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
  • Provide direct line management and high-quality supervision to social workers, helping to develop their skills and address areas for improvement.
  • Track the team's performance against agreed standards and help ensure high-quality practice is maintained.
  • Oversee staff training, development, and performance improvement plans.
  • Ensure the well-being of vulnerable children by monitoring case risks and taking steps to eliminate risks.
  • Support social workers with advice on practice models, legal obligations, and performance standards.
  • May be responsible for managing specific cases, such as those related to adoption, from beginning to end.
Requirements of this role:
  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
  • Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working as a Qualified social worker
