Job summary

Pitch Pals Football Coaching is seeking an Assistant Coach to join our team in Godalming. You will assist the Lead Coach across a variety of programmes for 2–11 year olds, with a focus on having fun, building rapport and keeping children engaged.

We offer weekend morning Early Years/KS1 classes, midweek evening sessions, After‑School Clubs, Birthday Parties and Holiday Camps. The role is ideal for someone in childcare or a student seeking flexible, part‑time hours.

Qualifications

• Experience building rapport with children aged 2–11.
• Can-do attitude and comfortable interacting with very young children.
• Interest in football and working with kids.
• For the right person, FA Level 1 in Football Coaching or equivalent may be funded.

Responsibilities

Job description

Pitch Pals Football Coaching are looking for an Assistant Coach to join the team.

We currently coach 2-11 year olds so the ability to build rapport and have FUN with the children is more important than anything else. Candidates must have a can‑do attitude and be comfortable interacting with children as young as two years old.

The role will primarily include assisting the Lead Coach across our various programmes, including our Early Years/KS1 weekend morning classes , midweek evening sessions, After‑School Clubs, Birthday Parties, and Holiday Camps during school holidays. The role can include all, or a combination of the programmes, dependant on the candidates availability.

The role would suit those with a passion for football/working with children, someone in the childcare sector looking for additional hours, or a college/university student. Ideally you will already have your FA Level 1 in Football Coaching (or equivalent), but for the right person we would look at funding this.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £20.00 per hour
