About the Organisation
Afasic North Surrey is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) and special educational needs (SEN). Our mission is to empower families and individuals through information, advocacy, and support.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, and compassionate Children's and Youth Co-ordinator to plan and lead our Friday Clubs (alongside our paid and voluntary Children and Youth Workers/Leaders) for children and young people with SLCN/SEN, including those with complex needs.
This role is crucial in creating a supportive and engaging environment where children and young people can develop their social skills, build confidence, and have fun.
In addition to our Friday Clubs, we also run activities in the school holidays, including a residential activity week. The post holder would be given the opportunity to use their experience to devise, develop, and run other activities (days/weekends/other activity weeks) in discussion with the Management Team.
Experience with SEN/SLCN desirable but not essential, as we are willing to offer training to the right applicant.
Join us and play a key role in supporting and inspiring children and young people with SLCN/SEN. We look forward to hearing from you!
