A children's care organization is seeking a Children's Adventure Care Worker to provide therapeutic support to young people aged 8 to 18 at Woodside Farm in Shifnal. This role is temporary but may lead to permanent employment for the right candidate. Responsibilities include creating a nurturing environment and leading outdoor activities. Be the stability a young person needs. Join Esland as a Children’s Adventure Care Worker and help shape brighter futures through care, intervention and activities.
Hours: 4 days on, 6 days off (with sleep nights). We are a 365 day a year service due to the nature of our work. Rotas are given in advance.
This is a temporary role to cover maternity leave, but may lead to a permanent opportunity for the right candidate
Pay rate: £38,475 to £40,815 per annum.* Includes opportunities to pick up extras shifts / overtime at an enhanced rate
Woodside Farm is a beautifully renovated property based in the countryside outside Shifnal, providing an excellent setting for a therapeutic assessment home. Using a trauma-informed approach, the team provides intervention care that supports emotional healing and personal development for up to two young people at a time.
Over a 12 week placement, our assessment strategy helps us understand what is truly right for a young person and their needs.
Every placement provides PACE principles, therapeutic care, access to education and the opportunity to participate in an outdoor adventure programme.
The work and commitment of our teams helps us to determine what support a young person requires and defines their next steps.
