A youth care organization in Burton upon Trent is seeking a Children's Adventure Care Worker for a permanent, full-time position. The role involves providing therapeutic care and support to young people, creating a nurturing environment, and leading engaging outdoor activities. Hours: 4 days on, 6 days off (with sleep nights). We are a 365 day a year service due to the nature of our work. Rotas are given in advance.
Pay rate: £38,475 to £40,815 per annum. Includes opportunities to pick up extra shifts / overtime at an enhanced rate
Based in the suburbs of Burton-Upon-Trent, Bly House is a two-bed service that provides a truly transformative experience for young people who have experienced trauma and instability.
Over a 12 week placement, we offer young people security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment.
Every placement provides access to education and the opportunity to participate in an outdoor adventure programme.
This is all underpinned by our therapeutic assessment model, which helps us determine what support a young person needs and defines their next steps.
