Hoop Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Social Worker to join the Children Looked After team in Keynsham, supporting looked-after children and young people. The role involves safeguarding, assessment, and planning to promote welfare, with collaboration with families and professionals.

You will handle records, care plans and reviews to meet statutory requirements, work 37 hours per week with some home working discussed at interview; a driving licence and access to a car are preferable.

Qualifications

• Current registration with Social Work England.
• A recognised Social Work qualification.
• Experience in the UK as a registered social worker preferred.

Social Worker – Children Looked After

Location: Keynsham Civic Centre, Bath & North East Somerset

Pay rate: £38 per hour Umbrella

Contract: Initial 3-month contract

Hours: 37 hours per week

The role

• Working within the Children in Care team, supporting looked-after children and young people.


• Undertaking social work duties to ensure children's needs, safety and welfare remain central to planning and decision-making.


• Working collaboratively with families, carers and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children.


• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring assessments, care plans and reviews are completed in line with statutory requirements.

Working arrangements

• 37 hours per week.


• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am–5:00pm.


• Friday: 8:30am–4:30pm.


• The role will be based primarily at Keynsham Civic Centre, with some home working available. This can be discussed at interview.


• Access to a vehicle is preferable, as B&NES covers some rural areas.


• Pay rate: £38 per hour Umbrella.

What you'll need to apply

• A recognised Social Work qualification.


• Current registration with Social Work England.


• A minimum of 6 months' experience working in the UK as a registered social worker.


• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.


• Three years of referencing.


• A driving licence and access to a car.
