Job summary

Connect2Kent is recruiting on behalf of Kent County Council for qualified Social Workers to join the Assessment and Duty Team in Broadstairs. The role focuses on managing a diverse Children & Families caseload, safeguarding children, planning and evaluating actions to promote welfare, and working in line with the SCCF framework.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with registration and relevant safeguarding experience.
• Experience working with Children & Families and court processes is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively with statutory and voluntary agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Children & Families caseload with assessments, welfare planning and court attendance.
• Develop close working partnerships with statutory and private sector agencies and carers.
• Record accurate information using agreed systems and maintain up-to-date case notes.
• Keep informed on legislation and local policies for Looked After Children and Child Protection.
