Neway International have a job vacancy for a Senior Social Worker to join our client based with Birmingham Children’s Trust.

Hours per week: 37
Start Date: 01/12/2025 (initially for 3 months and to be extended after review)
Working Hours: 08:45 – 17:15

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker (SSW) to join our team on a temporary assignment, covering authorised absence. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people, while working within a supportive and high‑performing organisation.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will:
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people through high-quality casework.
  • Undertake assessments, interventions, and practical support to families, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
  • Work collaboratively with multi‑agency partners to achieve the best outcomes for children.
  • Record and report accurately, using evidence-based information in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Contribute to team development, reflective practice, and service reviews.
  • Take responsibility for your own professional growth, keeping up to date with legislation, policies, and best practice.
