Job Title and Hours

Band 6 Physiotherapist – Part‑time (22.5 hours per week)

Location

Gloucestershire, countywide service. Post holder may work independently in locations away from a base at times and will occasionally cover the inpatient unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and the multidisciplinary Rheumatology clinic at Cheltenham General Hospital.

Role Summary

Provide paediatric physiotherapy to children and young people aged 0‑19 across a range of settings including clinics, schools, community clinics, patient homes, and the children’s centre at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Manage a clinical caseload within acute and community settings, supporting and developing specialist skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a clinical caseload of children and young people with neurological, developmental and musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Provide supervision and support to Band 5 physiotherapists and support workers.
  • Participate in and promote continuing professional development and share expertise with the team.
  • Cover the Children’s Physio Direct telephone advice line on a rota basis.
  • Provide cover for annual leave, sickness absences, and other required support in both acute and community settings.
  • Work Mondays to cover the multidisciplinary Rheumatology clinic at Cheltenham General Hospital.
  • Develop clinical skills within a wide range of childhood conditions and settings.
Working Conditions

Part‑time schedule of 22.5 hours per week with potential travel across the county. The role offers a supportive, experienced and friendly team environment with opportunities for CPD and clinical supervision.
