The Afterschool Club Worker supports the day-to-day running of the afterschool program, providing a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children. This role involves supervising activities, assisting with homework, organizing play, and ensuring high-quality care for all participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and creative projects.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through positive interaction and encouragement.
  • Assist children with homework or reading tasks as needed.
  • Set up, tidy, and maintain activity spaces and equipment.
  • Promote positive behaviour and manage conflicts in line with the club’s behaviour policy.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with children, parents, and school staff.
  • Monitor attendance and maintain accurate records as required.
  • Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a welcoming, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
