Job description

A local authority shared service based in West London is seeking a Childcare Lawyer for an initial period of three months.

The successful Childcare Lawyer will be required to carry a full caseload from the outset. You will undertake the following:

• Advise and have conduct of legal files on behalf of the council,
• Manage a caseload of public law care proceedings, child protection, adoption, NAI, and fostering matters.
• Lawyers where possible will also advise on SEN matters.

Previous local government experience is highly advantageous. Candidates must have a current practising certificate to be considered for the role. You will need to be able to attend the council offices.
