Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and safeguarding legislation.
• Experience with Child Protection and Child in Need assessments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Identifying children at risk of abuse, neglect, exploitation or significant harm.
• Conducting child and family assessments to understand needs, risks and family circumstances.
• Case management of a caseload with accurate records and regular reviews.
• Developing and implementing safeguarding plans with families.
• Carrying out home visits to assess safety and living conditions.
• Collaborating with schools, police, health services and other agencies.
