Overview: Exciting Opportunity: Child Protection Chair/Independent Reviewing Officer in Bracknell Forest, UK, earning £41.33 hourly on an ongoing contract. This is a 2.5-day post that requires management level experience in social work as well as experience in chairing child protection conferences and children looked after reviews.

Responsibilities
  • Chair child protection conferences and ensure that children’s safety and well-being are prioritized.
  • Lead and oversee reviews for children in care, ensuring their needs and wishes are met and considered.
  • Implement and monitor protection plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to social workers and other professionals involved in safeguarding.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation throughout the child protection process.
  • Ensure that all cases comply with current legislation and best practices in safeguarding children.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in UK Social Services, working as a qualified Social Worker.
