Job summary

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking a skilled Child & Family Advanced Practitioner to join their frontline social care team, managing a protected caseload of children with complex needs.

You will lead quality improvement, support performance monitoring, and provide monthly reflective supervision to Newly Qualified Social Workers, while mentoring students and collaborating with multi-agency partners to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
• Experience at Senior Social Worker level.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a protected caseload of children and young people with complex needs, risks and circumstances.
• Lead and support quality control and improvement activities across the service.
• Support performance monitoring and development initiatives.
• Provide monthly reflective supervision and conduct one observation of practice for NQSWs.
• Support and mentor Social Work students within the team.
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver positive outcomes for children.
