Job summary

North East Lincolnshire Council is seeking a dedicated Child Care Officer to join our Children’s Homes and Supported Accommodation in Grimsby. You will provide safe, nurturing and consistent care for care-experienced children who cannot live with their families.

Joining a close-knit team, you’ll work a rota including mornings, evenings, sleep-ins and weekends, helping children feel secure, valued and understood while supporting routines and education.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in care.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
• Willingness to work shifts including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, nurturing care for children who cannot live with their families.
• Support children's education, routines and self-care.
• Act as a positive role model and advocate for each child.
• Work with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
