Job description

Your mission

• Own engineering and data science/ML for our AI racing coaching platform
  • Potential to expand this ownership towards the product function as well
• Define the company strategy with the Board consisting of the founder and some of the most renowned VCs in the world
• Build and lead a small team of currently five engineers and scale it towards Series A scale and beyond
• Establish practical MLOps from data ingestion to evaluation to safe rollout
• Stay hands-on enough to set standards across the tech and data science teams

Your profile

• Leadership experience at Seed to Series A stage (and ideally beyond) with a track record of shipping and scaling high-performance teams
• Shipped ML or rules plus ML systems on streaming or time series data in production
• Strong product judgment with the ability to cut scope without losing outcomes
• Hands-on capability in Python and architectural fluency across a TypeScript stack
• Builder who can recruit and close 3 to 5 engineers quickly; then draft the medium-term expansion plan with the founder and key investors
• Racing literacy beyond fandom; able to talk vehicle dynamics. You don\'t need to be the next Lewis Hamilton but you need to be able to drill deep into why one way to drive is faster than another. You will work closely on this with the founder and other engineers of which some are professional racing drivers.
• Direct communicator with strong opinions and low ego
• UK or EU based with ability to be in London regularly; London-based preferred but not a must
