Job summary

SubSea Craft Limited, a UK-based maritime technology company, seeks a Head of Systems, Safety & Test to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team across systems, safety, and test & validation. You will drive verification, validation, and regulatory compliance while shaping the technical roadmap for safety-critical maritime platforms.

Applicants should hold a related bachelor’s degree and have experience with LR/DNV-GL class approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience leading systems engineering in maritime defence or similar safety-critical domains.
• Knowledge of model-based systems engineering and safety assurance practices.
• Experience with regulatory requirements and class approvals (LR/DNV-GL) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Head a multidisciplinary engineering department across systems, safety, and test & validation.
• Oversee capture, analysis and validation of system requirements with stakeholders.
• Direct verification and validation strategy across all system levels.
• Manage third-party assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Foster cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver integrated, high-performing systems.
• Lead internal safety cases and ensure traceability throughout lifecycle.
