Job summary

SVGC Limited is seeking a Chief Software Engineer and Team Leader to drive delivery of the DRAM and DSR programs. You will lead the Software and Secure Cloud team, align architectures, and ensure secure operations across government-facing systems.

You will coordinate with the CTO and cross‑functional teams, shaping strategies, budgets, and schedules while maintaining high security and compliance standards. This role is based in Milton Keynes area with on‑site travel.

Qualifications

• SC clearance required with willingness to be DV cleared
• Extensive software engineering experience in public sector environments
• Proven leadership and team management abilities
• Strong project management and budgeting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Experience with secure cloud and on‑premise systems
• Knowledge of AI/ML and MLOps
• Experience delivering to government departments

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of DRAM and DSR solutions and related software projects
• Manage and evolve architecture of DRAM and DSR systems
• Coordinate with partner software teams and 3rd party suppliers
