Job summary

Zopa Bank is seeking a Head of Product Security to define and execute the multi-year security strategy for a modern, cloud-enabled banking platform. You will lead a growing team, set risk appetite, and partner with CISO, Engineering, Product and Risk leaders to protect customers and the business.

You'll embed Secure by Design, drive standards, and leverage AI and automation to improve security workflows while enabling scalable engineering delivery across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the multi-year Product Security strategy, investment roadmap and priorities.
• 1Define the Product Security operating model, including team structure, capacity planning, senior hiring and succession.
• 2Lead, grow and develop a high-performing Product Security function.
• 3Own Product Security risk appetite, control effectiveness, executive KPIs and regulatory/audit assurance.
• 4Act as senior Product Security adviser to the CISO and executive Engineering, Product and Risk stakeholders.
• 5Set Product Security standards and drive their adoption across multiple engineering domains.
• 6Embed Secure by Design principles into engineering and software delivery.
• 7Prioritise investment and engineering effort according to security risk and business impact.
• 8Use AI, automation and modern security platforms to reduce manual effort and improve security workflows.
• 9Demonstrate improvements in security posture, risk reduction, engineering enablement and operational scalability.
