Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a senior leader to join the Acute Care Divisional Management Team. You will provide strategic leadership for pharmacy, medicines optimisation and medicines governance across all Trust sites and lead major transformation initiatives within a dynamic NHS setting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent is required.
• Postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification is required.
• Postgraduate management or leadership qualification or demonstrable senior leadership experience is required.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and senior leadership development for an executive-level role.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, clinical and professional leadership for pharmacy, medicines optimisation and medicines governance across the Trust.
• Lead, manage and develop pharmacy services across all Trust sites, setting standards for quality, performance, workforce, finance and improvement.
• Advise the Board on medicines safety, regulatory compliance and medicines-related risk.
• Lead governance and quality assurance for aseptic preparation, radiopharmaceuticals, medical gases and other complex medicines services.
• Act as Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer and ensure robust systems for safe management of controlled drugs.
• Lead major transformation with clear clinical, operational and financial benefits.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to redesign pathways and secure best value from medicines.
• Shape and deliver the pharmacy and medicines optimisation strategy, including digital innovation.
• Manage delegated workforce, pay and non-pay budgets and medicines expenditure.
• Provide direct accountability to the Chief Executive for safe medicines management and related organisational risk.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture enabling pharmacy colleagues to innovate.
