Job description
Overview

The role represents an exciting opportunity to lead a highly regarded organisation and deliver real results. To be successful, the COO will need strong management and leadership skills capable of organising, facilitating, motivating members, employees and stakeholders to ensure the day‑to‑day running of the Parole Board continues to a high standard.

Responsibilities

The COO provides direct leadership to the Functional Hubs covering the key areas of operations and the majority of employees, determines and designates tasks, makes decisions about business priorities, ensures ample support for over 350 Parole Board Members, engages and develops key relationships with stakeholders across the justice system, is accountable for compliance with regulation and laws, ensures policies and operational processes and procedures are effective, reviews and amends as necessary, and assists the CEO in implementing the Parole Board’s Transparency agenda to support victims appropriately.

Assignment Duration

This role has a minimum assignment duration of 3 years, an expectation only and not written into terms and conditions.

Security
  • Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.
  • Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed.
  • People working with government assets must complete baseline personnel security standard checks.

  • UK nationals
  • Nationalities of the Republic of Ireland
