Job summary

Service Care Solutions, partnering with a Warwickshire local authority, seeks an experienced Chief Officer for Legal and Governance. Hybrid work in Warwickshire. Senior leadership role overseeing legal, governance and democratic services across the Council.

Role includes advising on governance and constitutional matters, leading elections and democratic processes, and shaping the governance operating model. 6-month contract with competitive rates and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in legal, governance or democratic services.
• Experience as Monitoring Officer or ability to undertake the statutory role.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams at a senior level.

Service Care Solutions is working in partnership with a local authority, based in Warwickshire, which is looking to recruit an experienced Chief Officer for Legal and Governance. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for providing strategic legal, governance and democratic leadership across the Council.

Umbrella Rate: £950per day PAYE Inc. Rate: £826.13per day

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Legal Services, Democratic Services, Elections, Business Support, and Equality & Diversity.
• Act as Monitoring Officer, advising Members and officers on governance, constitutional and legal matters.
• Lead the development and implementation of the Council’s governance operating model.
