Role Overview
The Chief of Staff and Strategy is a strategic advisor and right‑hand partner to the CEO and Executive team, bringing focus to the right priorities, driving alignment and ensuring seamless execution in a fast‑scaling, high‑growth environment. The role blends strategic planning, operational rigour and cross‑functional leadership to help the business achieve its winning aspiration while growing efficiently and sustainably.
This high‑trust hands‑on position sits at the centre of company operations. Working closely with the CEO and extended leadership team, the Chief of Staff will translate strategic priorities into clear operational plans, monitor progress, surface risks and opportunities, and maintain organisational alignment and pace against VoCoVo’s goals.
They will act as a catalyst for improving internal processes, boosting productivity and performance, and championing cross‑functional collaboration through effective facilitation and influence.
Preferred work arrangement: hybrid, approximately 1‑2 days per week from our offices in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and Shipton Under Wychwood, Oxfordshire.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a Chief of Staff, Strategy or Senior Operations role in a scaling or high‑growth business.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to simplify complexity and communicate clearly.
- A solid understanding of how businesses operate, with experience shaping planning cycles, OKRs and executive rhythms.
- Exceptional relationship‑building skills, able to influence, challenge constructively and bring people along.
- High integrity, great organisation and the ability to handle sensitive information with care.
- A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with a calm, steady presence in fast‑moving environments.
- Bonus: experience in hardware/software or hybrid tech environments; exposure to investor relations, M&A or large‑scale strategic initiatives; background in consulting, product strategy or operations.
What You’ll Do
- Work side‑by‑side with the CEO and Executive Team to set clear priorities, shape strategy and turn plans into meaningful action.
- Lead our strategic planning rhythms, ensuring goals, success measures and interdependencies are understood and aligned across the business.
- Run our executive operating rhythm—including weekly Executive Syncs, extended leadership forums, off‑sites and strategic reviews.
- Keep teams focused on what matters: driving agenda clarity, surfacing risks early and ensuring decisions translate into real progress.
- Act as a key connector across VoCoVo, ensuring teams have the clarity, communication and context they need to deliver their best work.
- Partner with the CPO on internal communications to keep our strategy progress and culture transparent, engaging and understood.
- Identify misalignments, bottlenecks or friction points and help resolve them early and collaboratively.
- Represent the CEO where needed and lead cross‑functional projects that sit outside traditional team boundaries.
- Shape and support major strategic initiatives—from complex problem solving to partnerships and potential investments.

Salary
Salary range: 105,000 – 130,000 base salary per year.
