Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Head of Exchange Infrastructure to own the core platform powering all Kraken products, including the matching engine, API engine, and custody interfaces. You will lead a four-to-five PM team, paired with an engineering manager, and you’ll stay close to the work while shaping the roadmap for high-performance crypto trading infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Senior product leader with exchange/trading or high-performance platforms.
• Experience developing and mentoring senior PMs.
• Ability to write specs and roadmaps independently.
• Strong knowledge of matching engine and market data architecture.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for crypto markets and infrastructure platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the exchange layer.
• Lead and grow a team of product managers.
• Consolidate multiple matching engines into one.
• Build interface-agnostic platform for all product teams.
• Define success metrics and hold teams accountable.
• Sequence migration with engineering leaders without disrupting markets.
• Partner with Risk and Credit Infrastructure for a single account trading across products.
• Anticipate industry shifts and shape platform accordingly.
• Align cross-functional teams around the exchange strategy.
