Job summary

BBF Limited is seeking a strategic Head of IT to lead the organisation’s technology function across multiple sites, including Poland. The role combines daily IT delivery with long-term governance, supplier management and a technology roadmap that drives growth and resilience.

You will oversee IT services, security, infrastructure and ERP systems, ensuring cost-effective, reliable support and a secure environment. Travel between Blackburn and Hull sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading an IT function across infrastructure, systems, security and suppliers.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, networking and business systems.
• Experience in managing IT budgets, contracts, and third-party providers.
• Familiarity with ERP implementations and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the IT strategy and roadmap aligned to business objectives.
• Ensure reliable, secure, cost-effective IT services and support across sites.
• Oversee infrastructure, networks, cloud services and device management.
• Lead cyber security strategy including access controls and monitoring.
• Own backup strategy, DR testing and resilience planning.
• Manage Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and other core platforms to be well-governed and fit for purpose.
• Provide leadership on ERP systems and integrations; drive improvements.
• Own IT budgets, contracts, renewals and supplier performance.
• Govern IT policies, controls and compliance to support auditability and resilience.
• Lead, coach and develop IT team with a focus on service quality and accountability.
