Tower Hamlets Council is seeking an exceptional Chief Compliance Officer to strengthen governance, assurance and organisational culture across a large public sector organisation. You will chair the statutory Monitoring Officer role, advising Members and senior officers on ethical governance and conduct.

Qualifications

• Senior leader with governance, legal and compliance experience in a large public sector organisation.
• Significant experience as statutory Monitoring Officer.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management and ethical leadership.
• Proven record leading service transformation and cultural change.
• Exceptional stakeholder management across political and professional boundaries.
• Experience managing budgets and teams.
• Ability to provide confident advice in a high-visibility environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance and assurance across a broad portfolio.
• Act as statutory Monitoring Officer with ethical governance guidance.
