Job summary

Rewilding Europe is seeking a Chief Executive (Team Leader) for the Affric Highlands landscape in Scotland. You will lead strategy development, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement, overseeing a small team and coordinating with the central team to advance a major rewilding initiative in the Scottish Highlands.

You will report to the Affric Highlands Board and work to secure funding, partnerships, and policy support to ensure long-term impact and financial viability of the charity.

Qualifications

• Masters-level degree in natural resources management, conservation, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in conservation or related fields.
• Significant senior leadership experience in a charity/NGO setting.
• Proven fundraising and grant management experience at local and international levels.
• Strong local network in Scotland and related sectors (preferred).
• Excellent English written and spoken communication, lobbying, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive Affric Highlands forward as a large rewilding initiative aligned with Strategy 2030.
• Design and implement the 5-year strategy, budgets, and work plans with monitoring.
• Provide confident leadership and drive organizational development.
• Build strategic partnerships with stakeholders on rewilding, communication, and enterprise.
• Identify and secure fundraising opportunities and convert them into concrete actions.
• Develop a fundraising strategy and secure substantial funding for the landscape.
