Job summary

South Staffordshire College seeks a Chief Executive & Principal to lead with strategic clarity and educational ambition, shaping the college’s future for learners, staff and communities.

You will work with the Board, Executive Leadership Team and stakeholders to set priorities, drive improvement, and strengthen progression pathways while upholding values and safeguarding. The role requires an authentic, collaborative leader with FE experience and strong governance judgement.

Qualifications

• Significant senior and strategic leadership experience within further education or a comparable education-focused organisation.
• Proven track record of setting and delivering strategy and leading improvement.
• Ability to engage with governors, partners and external stakeholders with financial and governance credibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the college with strategic clarity and educational ambition, shaping the long-term vision and priorities for learners, staff and communities.
• Work with the Board of Governors, Executive Leadership Team and staff to translate vision into priorities and action, improving outcomes.
• Champion inclusion, safeguarding, wellbeing and curriculum development while strengthening progression pathways and partnerships.
