Job description

Home / Roles / Chief Executive Officer | RoSA Support

Shape RoSA Support’s future, champion survivors and lead specialist services that change lives across Warwickshire.

  • Location: Rugby, Warwickshire

RoSA Support is seeking a compassionate and forward-thinking Chief Executive to lead its next chapter and build on the charity’s life-changing work across Warwickshire.

Supporting people affected by rape, childhood sexual abuse and sexual violence, RoSA provides specialist counselling, advocacy and trauma-informed support, helping survivors move towards a future with hope and confidence.

Working alongside an experienced team and an engaged Board, you will shape the charity’s strategic direction, develop partnerships and strengthen the foundations for lasting impact. This is an opportunity to bring fresh thinking, champion specialist services and help RoSA develop its reach and influence.

We welcome established leaders and those ready for their first Chief Executive appointment who combine sound judgement, empathy and the ability to turn ambition into meaningful progress.

Who we are

Established in 1991, RoSA Support provides confidential, specialist support for people affected by rape, sexual abuse and sexual violence across Warwickshire and surrounding areas. Its services support adults, children and young people of all genders, alongside families, partners and carers.

Combining counselling, independent advocacy, community support and trauma-informed education, RoSA helps people rebuild confidence, make informed choices and move towards a future with hope. Prevention and early intervention are also central to its work, strengthening understanding and support within local communities.

Survivors’ voices help shape the charity’s services, supported by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who bring specialist knowledge, compassion and care.

In our most recent reporting period we supported more than 5,000 people:

  • More than 2,000 received counselling
  • More than 1,000 children and young people took part in our workshops and wellbeing programmes
  • Our ISVA team helped survivors secure more than £120,000 in criminal injuries compensation. The team includes specialists for LGBTQ+ survivors, ethnic minority communities, people with learning disabilities, children, male survivors and those affected by addiction.
About the role

As Chief Executive, you will lead RoSA’s next chapter, working with the Board and an experienced specialist team to shape its strategy and strengthen its impact for survivors.

This is a hands‑on and outward-facing role, combining strategic leadership with practical involvement in income generation, service development and organisational management. You will strengthen commissioner and funder relationships, develop funding opportunities and oversee finances and operations, maintaining a clear focus on safeguarding, quality and accessibility.

Through collaborative, trauma-informed leadership, you will build trust with established managers, respecting their expertise and supporting them to lead their services confidently. Drawing on staff knowledge and survivors’ experiences, you will develop future priorities and champion RoSA’s work with partners across Warwickshire.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with leadership experience who understands the breadth and practical demands of leading a small organisation. You will bring a track record in fundraising, commissioning or service development, alongside the confidence to build productive external relationships that strengthen RoSA’s reach and sustainability.

Your approach to people leadership will be supportive and collaborative, valuing the team’s specialist expertise and helping colleagues develop. You will also bring an understanding of trauma‑informed practice and a commitment to inclusion, accessibility and ensuring survivors’ voices shape RoSA’s work.

You may already be a Chief Executive or be ready to take that next step. A clinical or therapeutic qualification is not essential; we are seeking someone who can lead specialist services with credibility, sensitivity and care.
