Reporting through to C-Suite, this is a unique opportunity to own, develop and improve the operational and strategic Engineering agenda for this rapidly growing specialist food business.

An expanding International presence with a heavy focus on innovation / range growth make safety, reliability and automation key priorities. This newly created role will oversee all engineering activities with a permanent base at the business’ state of the art production site in Northern Ireland.

Working cross functionally with huge visibility (often in direct collaboration with the CEO) as well as externally with suppliers, as the successful candidate, you’ll challenge the existing whilst bringing the “outside in” as a headline of your continuous improvement remit

From day one, your extensive engineering leadership skill set will be put to the test – from project management and budget control through to legal compliance and audit readiness, you’ll be the “go to” for reliability and production efficiency.

With team management and team development responsibility, it’s a given that people influence and coaching along with upward communication will be front and centre of your tool kit.

In an open door, proactive “scale up” culture, your ability to be both top level strategist / innovator operational do-er / mentor is key. This is far from just “a here and now”… we’re looking for someone who relishes the thought of shaping their remit and growing a function.
