Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Head of Clinical Engineering to lead the division, shaping equipment strategy and capital programmes. You will oversee budget, governance, and a mixed workforce while partnering with clinical leaders to meet patient care needs.

The role requires senior management experience in a large healthcare setting, and a deep understanding of medical equipment management, safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• First degree or equivalent NHS management experience.
• Master's degree in leadership/management or related subject.
• Post-graduate management qualification or evidence of practical application.
• Evidence of sustained professional development.
• Knowledge of statutory, regulatory and governance obligations relating to medical equipment management.
• Operational, HR and financial management experience at a senior level within a large healthcare organisation.
• Clinical experience operating a wide range of medical equipment.
• Desirable: hands-on engineering experience of electronic equipment design/repair.

Responsabilités

• Lead Trust-wide Clinical Engineering and communicate with senior committees.
• Oversee long-term equipment strategies, budgets and capital programmes.
• Direct a technical and outsourced workforce alongside clinical leaders.
• Ensure medical equipment safety, compliance and availability.
• Drive improvement and innovation as the Trust's senior technical expert.
