Job description

We are looking to recruit a dynamic band 7 Cardiac Physiologist for cross site work. This is for advanced non‑invasive cardiology diagnostics, in particular Echocardiography.

We are a friendly British Society of Echocardiography accredited department and offer a full echo service including routine transthoracic studies, contrast, 3D, transoesophageal echo and stress echo (both Dobutamine and Exercise) on both sites. We also offer a physiologist‑led stress echo and valve clinic service.

All applicants should have completed a BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent) and have BSE accreditation (or equivalent).

Responsibilities
  • Scan and report independently at band 7 level.
  • Take senior clinical and leadership roles, advancing clinical and leadership skills.
  • Be active in the training and development of junior staff to achieve BSE accreditation.
  • Develop own skills in complex procedures such as TOE, stress echo (including physiologist‑led exercise stress echo) and valve clinic.
  • Receive further training as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Completed a BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent).
  • Have BSE accreditation (or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience as Senior Cardiac Physiologist.
