Chief Accountant needed in Bexleyheath Paying £71.77 per hr ref 18145

Full time hours on a temporarybasis

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the production of single entity and group accounts.
• Act as the primary expert on financial accounting regulations, advising senior stakeholders.
• Oversee the system of financial controls, ensuring timely reconciliations (monthly, quarterly, annually).
• Liaise and maintain strong relationships with External Auditors at a senior level.
• Lead the end-of-year capital and asset accounting processes.
• Present financial accounting matters to Directors and senior management where appropriate.
• Ensure the team provides specialist financial accounting advice to support decision-making and major business cases.
• Manage VAT returns and provide corporate VAT advice.
• Maintain overarching responsibility for the Balance Sheet.
• Drive improvements in core financial systems and reporting capabilities as system owner.
