Job description
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the effective operation and continual development of the Quality Management System in collaboration with the multidisciplinary Chemotherapy team.
  • Ensure compliance with new healthcare regulations, standards and policies (e.g. UK SACT board).
  • Support the development of PPGs relating to the safe prescribing, screening and administration of SACT and develop and maintain governance frameworks that clarify roles, responsibilities and decision‑making processes.
  • Oversee all SACT related incidents and facilitate a multidisciplinary review of reported incidents, errors and near misses, ensuring incidents are investigated in a timely fashion and tracked and trended to identify improvement areas.
  • Ensure learning is shared across the service to improve patient safety, clinical quality and service delivery.
  • Identify training needs in relation to any audit recommendations, incident reports or development of new policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Manage a sub‑team, including an Assistant Quality Manager and Project Support Administrator.
