Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking enthusiastic Chemotherapy Nurse Practitioners or Trainees to join the dedicated chemotherapy team at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford. The role supports patients undergoing chemotherapy and provides mentorship to trainee nurses, with Band 5 developing to Band 6 upon competency completion.

Experience in Haematology/Oncology and a SACT qualification are preferred; NMC registration is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Haematology and/ or Oncology setting.
• Previous experience of nursing patients with cancer and palliative care needs.
• Chemotherapy competence/ SACT passport
• Evidence of academic SACT nursing modules
• Nurse prescribing

Responsibilities

• Support outpatient chemotherapy service delivery with comprehensive nursing support for patients undergoing chemotherapy and supportive care.
• Mentor, support and develop trainee chemotherapy nurses.
• Assist progression from Band 5 to Band 6 upon completion of chemotherapy competencies.
