Job description

Title: Formulation Chemist
Location: Derbyshire
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 39 hours per week, 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, Xmas shut down from 24th December to 2nd January. Flexible start and finish times available

Role / Description

• Drive innovation by developing and testing new cleaning product formulations across Industrial, institutional and laundry cleaning products.
• Lead projects from concept to launch, ensuring products meet high standards.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and sales teams for seamless product delivery.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Source and assess raw materials, staying updated on industry trends.
• Maintain manual, semi-automatic and analytical laboratory equipment.
• Support regulatory compliance and product quality investigations.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or related Scientific discipline.
• Proven industrial experience formulating and developing HI&I Chemicals.
• Personal attributes - adaptable, proactive, attention to detail, communication, can work well in a team and is solution-focused.
