Qualifications

• Understanding of Engineering drawings and some familiarity with CAD/CAM techniques.
• Experience of trials and small scale lab testing.
• Understanding of Computational Chemistry.
• Knowledge of Thermodynamics and Reaction Kinetics.
• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Identify, test and introduce modelling software for energetic materials.
• Build models to support understanding of materials behaviours.
• Support the execution of UKMOD projects in the field.
• Support development and expansion of SMART Qualification.

Skills

Minimum degree level Chemistry or Physics

Knowledge of shock physics

Knowledge of modelling and simulation techniques

Good technical report writing

The ability to present effectively
