Job summary

First Base Employment is assisting a Cheltenham client to recruit a Warehouse Team Member. You will support daily warehouse operations, including goods-in, stock put-away and, most importantly, accurate picking and packing of customer orders.

This full-time position (Temporary to Permanent) offers hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, and a pay of circa £30,000. You will work in a small team, take ownership, and assist colleagues during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial.
• A forklift licence would be advantageous, training may be available.
• Warehouse leadership or supervisory experience would be desirable.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in an active role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Trustworthy, proactive and responsible approach to work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Clear and respectful communication skills.
• Good common sense and initiative.
• Flexible and willing to go the extra mile when required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming deliveries.
• Put stock away safely and in correct locations.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately, neatly and to a high standard.
• Operate forklift trucks and order-picking equipment where required.
• Ensure orders are prepared and dispatched on time.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised warehouse.
• Work closely with colleagues to meet daily workload requirements.
• Support the wider warehouse team during busy periods.
