A leading end-of-life charity in the UK is looking for a talented Chef to join their Facilities team. This role involves preparing high-quality meals for patients and managing catering staff while ensuring food safety. Ideal candidates should have strong culinary skills and relevant qualifications, including a Level 2 NVQ in Food Production. This position offers a full-time contract with a competitive salary range and various benefits including annual leave and pension contributions.
We are looking for a talented and compassionate Chef to join our Facilities team at the Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent culinary skills, the ability to develop and plan diverse menus, and a strong focus on customer service. Teamwork and interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to work, and the ability to show initiative are essential. A caring and compassionate attitude is crucial.
This vital role involves providing high-quality, nutritious meals to our patients, staff, volunteers, and visitors while ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
You will also assist the Head Chef in supervising Catering Assistants, creating staff rotas, and recruiting junior staff. Responsibilities also include selecting approved suppliers and managing orders.

We providefree specialist care and support to patients with terminal illnesses whilstoffering vital emotional support for their families. It's all about giving themthe best possible quality of life. The support we offer is tailored to meetindividuals' medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.
We want a differentsociety than the one we live in now. Our mission for the next five years is toclose the gap in the number of people missing out on what they need at theend-of-life.
Contract: Full Time; 37.5 hours per week
Working Days: Any five days per week, Mondaythrough Sunday, including Bank Holidays
Salary: Agenda for Change Band 3 £24,937 -£26,598 Per Annum
