Lancashire County Council in Preston is seeking an experienced catering leader to take on a full-time role, 37 hours per week. You will lead and develop a dedicated catering team, shape food offerings, and drive service excellence across busy operations.
You will manage day-to-day catering activities, ensuring high standards and excellent customer experiences while deputising for senior management when needed. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Working closely with the Catering Operations Team Leader, you'll also have the opportunity to take on additional responsibility by deputising when required and helping to ensure the smooth and effective running of the service.

The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
