Chef

Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £15 - £17 per hour
Shifts: on rota (must be flexible)

A Chef is required to join a busy kitchen, preparing fresh meals to a high standard. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced environment, ideal for someone who thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering quality food.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting meals in line with menu specifications
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Supporting with menu planning, stock control and deliveries
• Working collaboratively with the kitchen and service team
• Ensuring all food safety, allergen and HACCP procedures are followed

Requirements for a Chef

• Previous experience as a Chef in a busy kitchen environment
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality
• Reliable, organised and a strong team player
• Relevant catering qualification preferred but not essential

Must have

• Food Hygine level 2
• Own tranport - car or bike or bicyle due to location not being accceable via public tranport
