Job summary

AWD online in Central London is seeking a hands-on Chef to shape menus, lead the kitchen and deliver high-quality meals for clients, VIP guests, groups and conferences.

You will work with the Head Chef to develop recipes, source ingredients, price menus and coach junior staff while maintaining hygiene and safety standards. This is a permanent, full-time role in a busy events-focused kitchen.

Qualifications

• Strong cooking and plating skills with high standards of quality and presentation.
• Ability to plan menus and develop recipes with cost awareness.
• Proven ability to source ingredients and price menus effectively.
• Organised approach to supplier ordering, stock and waste control.
• Experience coaching junior kitchen staff and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Menu planning and development in collaboration with Head Chef.
• Prepare, cook and present meals for clients, VIP guests and events.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety and kitchen cleanliness.
• Monitor stock, control costs and support supplier pricing decisions.
• Schedule staffing and coach the kitchen team to deliver timely service.
