Head Chef - Flagship Care Home

MCG Recruitment are assisting one of our clients to find a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead their kitchen team of three chefs at our client's flagship care home. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards while inspiring your team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Duties
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support for efficient food preparation and service
  • Manage food production, ensuring quality control and adherence to recipes
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, showcasing creativity and attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment in line with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
  • Train new staff in preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety standards
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience supervising a kitchen team
  • Strong background in food production and preparation techniques
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead by example
