Job summary

Friends of the Elderly is recruiting a Kitchen/Chef Manager to lead the catering team at Friends Place, Calcot. You will oversee daily production, service within budget, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety.

You'll plan and cost menus, manage stock and procurement using digital ordering tools, and work with the team to deliver a warm, homely dining experience for residents. A relevant food handling qualification and experience in a similar role are required; safeguarding

Qualifications

• Catering professional with a relevant food handling qualification.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in care settings.
• Ability to use digital technology to order supplies.
• Good numeracy for costs, budgets, and stock calculations.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the catering team and daily production within budget and standards.
• Create an atmosphere of quality food and service.
• Plan and cost menus within budget and ensure standards.
• Maintain hygienic and safe working practices in line with policies.
