Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm

Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour

Contract: Temp to Perm

Role: Chef Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef Manager to oversee a small catering team and manage the day-to-day running of a busy on-site kitchen. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll take the lead on food preparation, service delivery, and operational standards.

About the Role

You’ll manage all aspects of the catering operation — from food production and team supervision to paperwork, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities for a Chef Manager
  • Lead and support a small kitchen team to deliver excellent food and service
  • Oversee menu planning, ordering, and stock control
  • Ensure all documentation and food safety records are completed accurately and on time
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Ensure the kitchen and service areas are kept clean, organised, and well presented
Requirements for a Chef Manager
  • Previous experience as a Chef Manager or Senior Chef leading a small team
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum required)
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Chef whites, knives, and safety shoes (or suitable chef footwear) required
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
