Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Chef Manager for Middlesex Manor Care Home in Wembley. You will lead the kitchen team, deliver nutritious and tasty meals, and ensure high standards of safety and quality across the home’s catering operations.

This permanent, full-time role offers a 40-hour week (including weekends) with a £18.35 per hour cap, plus a £1,000 welcome bonus and up to £3,000 annual bonus potential, reflecting the importance of excellent dining experiences for residents.

What You’ll Do

As Chef Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals while leading and developing a dedicated kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Creating varied, nutritious menus tailored to residents’ dietary requirements and personal preferences
• Preparing fresh, high-quality meals that residents look forward to every day
• Leading, motivating and developing the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance
• Managing stock, ordering, budgets and supplier relationships effectively
• Supporting special events, seasonal celebrations and activities within the home
• Building positive relationships with residents and gathering feedback to continually enhance the dining experience

You’ll Have

• Previous experience working within a fresh food kitchen environment
• Relevant food hygiene qualifications and a strong understanding of HACCP and COSHH
• Experience leading and developing a kitchen team
• Strong planning, organisational and budget management skills
• A creative approach to menu planning and food presentation
• A commitment to maintaining consistently high standards
• A warm, people-focused approach and a passion for making a difference

About Middlesex Manor Care Home

Food is a central part of life at Middlesex Manor. From freshly prepared daily meals and homemade cakes to special celebrations and themed events, our kitchen team plays a vital role in creating positive experiences and memorable moments for residents and their families.

The home consists of three floors, with dining rooms and lounges located on each floor, supporting a vibrant community of 80 residents. As Chef Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-quality catering services across the home, ensuring every meal is nutritious, appealing, and tailored to residents’ needs.
