Catering Manager
Location: Birkenhead, Wirral
Salary: £33,000 per annum
Company Description: An opportunity has become available at this food manufacturing site in the Wirral. The site hosts 500 employees, operates Monday to Saturday, and has a team of 5 on site including the head chef. Responsibilities include managing breakfast, lunch and occasional hospitality services, and overseeing a variety of themed events through the restaurant.

Job Description
- Lead, inspire, collaborate and support your direct reports to deliver consistently exceptional standards.
- Build positive, credible and collaborative relationships & communication methods with clients and other key stakeholders in the business.

Qualifications
- Previous experience within contract catering, ideally high‑volume locations.
- Culinary background.
- Suitability for a Chef Manager stepping into a management position.
- Contagious passion for food and customer service.
- Enjoys managing, training and supporting a team.
- Financially astute and highly analytical with a strong budget‑management focus.
- Excellent delegation and influencing skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast‑paced, multi‑faceted, creative environment while working well under pressure.
- Meticulous organisational abilities and high attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Adaptable and solution‑oriented.
- Strong strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills.
