Overview

Job Introduction: Passions for food and career development with a world-leading food service management company. We are a leading foodservice and hospitality provider across the UK and Ireland, seeking a Chef Manager on a permanent basis. This is a 37.5 hour per week role.

As Chef Manager you will produce outstanding food using the finest and freshest ingredients while also leading your team.

Responsibilities
  • Produce outstanding food using high-quality ingredients.
  • Lead and develop the kitchen team to deliver high-quality service and food.
  • Manage kitchen operations and maintain HSE compliance.
  • Plan seasonal menus and costings, and participate in purchasing and profit optimization.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members; maintain strong people management.
Essential qualifications
  • Professional Cookery/Food Production & Cooking - City & Guilds 706-1/2 or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of catering experience.
  • Experience in managing and developing a team of 3+ people within catering.
  • Seasonal menu planning, costing, purchasing, and profit optimization experience.
  • Experience in recruitment and training, and strong people management skills.
  • Good knowledge of and ability to manage all HSE requirements for the role.
Desirable qualifications
  • Experience in managing rosters and hours efficiently.
  • Level 3 qualification in the relevant area (or equivalent).
  • Competence in IT systems.
