Job summary

Mint People is seeking a Chef Manager to lead the kitchen at a busy distribution centre in Northampton (NN4). You will oversee breakfast, lunch and dinner for staff, managing a small team to deliver high standards of food quality and hygiene while planning menus and ordering stock.

As a hands-on leader, you will ensure cost-effective operations, maintain health and food hygiene compliance, and foster a positive kitchen culture with a proactive approach to adapting to a dynamic site.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef Manager or Head Chef in high-volume setting.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage kitchen operations.
• Hands-on leader who enjoys kitchen work as well as management.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and allergen management.
• Proactive approach and adaptability to a dynamic site.

Location: Northampton
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef Manager to lead the kitchen team at a busy distribution centre in Northampton (NN4 7PW). This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef with strong leadership skills to take charge of a well‑established catering operation in a supportive and friendly environment.

• Overseeing the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner for staff onsite
• Managing a small, supportive team to deliver high standards of food quality and hygiene
• Planning menus, ordering stock, and ensuring cost-effective kitchen operations
• Maintaining compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations
• Creating a positive kitchen culture and leading by example

• Previous experience as a Chef Manager or Head Chef in a high-volume setting
